The brainchild of automotive titan, John Z. DeLorean, the vehicle he envisioned took the best the world had to offer and created a car stylish, rugged, and practical, a sports car for a lifetime and a lifestyle.
From Italy, he commissioned designers to draft a super-strong body that would anchor the suspension pieces from England's Lotus division. Its rear engine bay would hold the PRV (Peugeot-Renault-Volvo) 2.8 liter, fuel-injected, V-6, engine. The gullwing doors would serve both functional and fashionable duty, making the car unmistakable and timeless. Brushed stainless steel body panels would then fit over the sub-structure to provide unmatched durability and house the soft leather, grey interior.
